WHEN YOU ARE OLD

by William Butler Yeats

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

SPOKEN WORDS:

YOUR GHOST

I am speaking, for i am that ghost in your life.
That ghost that haunt you at night, in your dreams and in broad day light...
I speak, for i am that ghost that reminds you not to mind about yesterday, for it passed.
I speak, for i am that ghost that tells to bury your past and seal the grave with steel.
I speak, for i was with you yesterday and today, i saw a vision of your tomorrow. I saw you fall into the arms of freedom and rise from shanty... I saw your tears turn into a small smile that glittered in light and gave sight.
I saw your castles on the clouds settle on the ground...
Yes, for man can only get upto what he can dream of...
Man can only see upto where his eyes can reach,
man can only grow upto where he can reach,
and he can only get better when at the edge.
I speak, for i am that ghost that that tells you that your tomorrow is brighter even when its cloudy.
I speak, for i am the ghost that reminds you that life is not a journey but a destiny. You are either here or there but we are all in one life... I am speaking for i want you to get stronger, tougher and live today as it is.

MY NIGHTMARE

Curled up like a fetus i lay,
strongly to my pillow i cling.
Patiently waiting, for the morning tide,
I wait in silence, for that bright star at dawn,
for the morning dew so cool.
Hoping in faith, for drift on my nightmare…
In my dream, my screams circle the stars;
they come down like comets, to hollow my heart.
My howl in tears, bruise my cheeks to scars.
Tormented into desolate, solace i seek.
How i wish;
that the angel of my dream will stitch before nine,
the gem of my smile would light in dark,
the cloud so snow, will shelter me from hope drain.
Take my hand, and change my world.
Change my dreams into happiness.
Cuddle me in my sleep and blossom on my heart like a lily.
Be the single reason, why i will open my eyes at dawn,
for the still morning tide.

My Dancing Leaf

MY DANCING LEAF

Alas, thy beauty in motion is life so perfect.
To you all the hail goes, for your moves so perfect.
In the swift twinch of your body so slender,
My dancing leaf moves so tender.

      To the twig you match, like a prefect you inspect,
The light from your blade, to the world you reflect,
Bending the wind in rhythm, yours carol it buzz.
My dancing leaf, whines to my world so fuzz.

Your care comfort, as i lay under you shelter,
It’s an assurance of your love in plain letter.
When i gasp, it’s your breath that I take in,
For my dancing leaf, gives life in every spin.

Hey, you’re a painter so adored and great,
For you colour the world to form and state,
Your meal I eat, in your hallow i keep fit.
My dancing leaf, dances perpetually over rest.
